So far we have acquired/borrowed/rented:

- 2 x Rat Race branded Buff’s
- 2 x Sense of Humour
- 2 x Boyancy Aids (Yak)
- 2 x Neoprene Spraydecks
- Assorted Helly Hansens - a godsend in the wet weather here in the UK
- Cags from Yak and Decathlon
- 1 x Rented Riot Kayak for use in the race itself
- 2 x Camelbak drinks containers for electrolyte replacement and rehydration
- Assorted club paddles for trial - wings from Lendal, Kynsha and others, none of which fit correctly
- 1 x Battered ‘03 Seat Ibiza; transport…
- 09/02/09: Got 2 x wing blades for the race itself - being delivered this weekend
- 09/02/09: Identified a trainer in Reading who is a good resource for in-depth knowledge about distance racing. Probably need to organise follow-up sessions with him.
We still need to source:
- Water filtration equipment
- 2 x decks that are easier to get on and off
- More camelbaks
- A type of food that we don’t mind eating when tired
- 2 x Endless Banter
- 2 x Waterproof Mp3 cases and solar panel rechargers
- Appropriate warm kit for the Yukon conditions
- Flights to Whitehorse and out of Dawson City
- Accommodation in Canada
- A footrest system that will allow us to have our legs & feet in the centre of the boat (and that works with the boat we’ll be renting in Canada) - 09/02/09 Pete: Worked out that we can do this with Foam blocks if need be, so we’re going to get going with the foam-carving!
